Call for Labyrinths-on-the-Grounds

We invite everyone to build temporary labyrinths on the grounds of Simpsonwood. Bring the materials you need to build a labyrinth and give Gathering participants the opportunity to walk a variety of outdoor labyrinths.

As the date draws near, we will plan areas for temporary labyrinths to be built where participants can try their hand at building labyrinths with experts and also experience walking new designs.

Anyone interested in building a temporary labyrinth will be asked to provide information prior to the Gathering, including the builder's name, the labyrinth’s name, whether it is a new design, a traditional design, or a derivative of a traditional design, the dimensions of the proposed temporary labyrinth and the materials you plan to use.

It is helpful to bring an 8 ½” x 11” laminated sign or a page in a sheet protector to be placed next to your labyrinth. The information should include the name of the labyrinth, your name and, if applicable, the purpose for which the labyrinth was designed...
